This policy is part of the Terms of Service. The customer is responsible for what its users do. The Messaging Policy sets out the consent, opt-out and timing rules for calls and texts in more detail.
Calls, texts and email
Do not use CarShipDesk to:
- call or text anyone without the consent the law requires, or contact numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry or your own do-not-call list without a lawful basis;
- ignore STOP, unsubscribe or any other opt-out request, or contact a person after they have opted out, apart from a single confirmation where the law allows it;
- message purchased, rented or scraped contact lists unless you hold evidence of consent for each contact;
- spoof caller ID or a sender’s identity, or hide who is sending a message;
- send messages outside the hours, or more often than, the law allows.
Load boards and connected services
- Do not scrape, harvest or bulk-copy data from Central Dispatch, Super Dispatch or any other load board against its terms, or use CarShipDesk to get around a provider’s limits.
- Connect only accounts and credentials you are authorized to use.
Fraud and misleading conduct
- No fraud, identity theft, or impersonating another broker, carrier or company.
- No double brokering: re-brokering a load without the authority and agreement the law and your contracts require, or presenting yourself as a carrier when you are a broker.
- No misleading quotes: bait-and-switch prices, hidden fees, or quotes you do not intend to honor.
Card and bank data
- Never store full card numbers, CVV codes or bank account numbers in notes, messages, custom fields, attachments or call recordings. Card entry belongs on the payment processor’s hosted page.
Security and fair use
- Do not try to access another customer’s workspace or data, or any account or data you are not authorized to reach.
- Do not probe, scan or test the security of CarShipDesk without our written permission. To ask for permission, or to report a vulnerability, write to hello@carshipdesk.com. Do not access other customers’ data or disrupt the Service while doing so.
- Do not upload or send malware or other harmful code.
- Do not make excessive automated requests or otherwise put an unreasonable load on the Service. Automated access is allowed only through interfaces we provide or approve in writing.
- Do not use CarShipDesk for anything unlawful, infringing, harassing, discriminatory or defamatory.
Enforcement
- We may investigate suspected violations. Depending on how serious a violation is, we may warn the customer, remove the content involved, suspend affected users, features or the whole account, or terminate the Terms of Service.
- Serious or repeated violations, such as unlawful messaging, fraud or attempts to reach other customers’ data, may lead to immediate suspension without a prior warning.
- Where appropriate, we may report unlawful activity to the authorities or to the providers affected.
